The quickest and easiest way to help raise awareness is Like, Share and Comment on our social media posts! The more activity on a post (ie: 'likes' and comments) the more people Facebook will show that post to. You can find the IHAW on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. If you are looking for posters to share you can find various posters including facts and IH perspectives on our IHAW page and also the Living with IH page. Don't forget when sharing posts on social media to tag the IHAW @IHAWeek and to use the Hashtags, #LivingwithIH and #IHAW2022. You can also share our Factsheet. This is a link to the pdf, you can find images of it on our Facebook. Looking for an IH community group in your part of the world? There are online Living with IH Community Groups in the USA, Canada, Australia/NZ and the EMEA (Europe/UK, Middle East and Africa)*. Meetings are held every month via Google Meet or other similar video conferencing.
The aim of the meetings is to provide people diagnosed with Idiopathic Hypersomnia (IH) with a community where they can offer and receive peer support and to assist with the isolation that many people with IH experience. Living with IH community groups are an informal monthly catch up where people diagnosed with IH can feel relaxed among others that truly do know what it is like living with IH. Go to our IHAW page to find out how you can connect with your local group.
Don't miss this opportunity to collectively raise our voices so that the needs of people with Idiopathic Hypersomnia can be heard!
